Why Do I Hear Beeps and Boops at Startup?

It’s normal to hear a short burst of digital “beeps and boops” when the Unity6 powers up if your amp or monitor volume is already turned up.

That sound is the pedal discharging static at boot so the analog loops don’t pop when you engage them later. It is expected behavior, not a fault, and it only lasts a moment at startup.

Tips

  • Keep amp / FRFR / interface volume down until the Home Screen is up if you don’t want to hear it.
  • If you hear ongoing noise after boot (not just the brief startup chatter), that’s a different issue — check power isolation, MIDI clock bleed (Constant Clock), and cabling as usual.
